brantly The early 80's UK punk scene had some great bands, but maybe none better than the Subhumans who managed to take driving, catchy, biting punk rock, polemical lyrics & infused it with wry humor and a 'call to arms.' what's awesome (or sad if seen in the light that our shitty world hasn't changed much in 30 years) is that the social commentary has never been more relevant than now & the music still sounds incredibly fresh as I sing along to 'Joe Public' and make tofu tacos

12 songs, 32 minutes. This compilation collects two previously released seven inch EPs: "Time Flies...But Aeroplanes Crash" (1983) and "Rats" (1984). Re-mastered from the original analogue tapes restored to it's full glory.

Subhumans UK

Formed in Wiltshire in the UK in 1980, the band released their demo in 1981, and their first EP, Demolition War, that same year. The band recorded 4 albums and 6 EPs before splitting in 1985. Some members joined Culture Shock and Citizen Fish, but the Subhumans rose again briefly in 1991, more solidly in 1998, and when the album Internal Riot was released in 2007, at which point it stuck. ... more
